40 micron “orange” Polymer Opal viewed in transmission, note complementary colours and angle sensitive colour shift:
Same 40 micron “orange” Polymer Opal film bonded to black stretch fabric and overcoated with an elastic polymer film with a matt finish. Note colour change on deformation:

A line pattern embedded in the substrate is revealed as a colour contrast on stretching:

Similarly wide bands embedded in the substrate are revealed as a colour contrast on stretching:
